VENTILATION & MVHR OVERVIEW

At Brit Home Design & Build, we recognise that as modern buildings become more airtight to save energy, the need for mechanical ventilation becomes critical. We specialise in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR), a sophisticated system that extracts stale, moist air from "wet" rooms and replaces it with filtered, fresh air from outside. By using a high-efficiency heat exchanger, the system recovers up to 95% of the heat from the outgoing air, significantly reducing your heating demand while maintaining superior indoor air quality.

THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM OF MODERN BUILDINGS

We provide end-to-end ventilation engineering, ensuring that your property “breathes” correctly. Our designs prevent the buildup of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), allergens, and humidity, protecting both the structural integrity of the building and the health of its occupants.

PRECISION ENGINEERING

Part F Compliance & Commissioning
Every ventilation system must be commissioned by a specialist to ensure it meets the airflow rates required by UK Building Regulations (Part F). We provide full airflow testing and certification, ensuring your system is perfectly balanced for optimal performance and quiet operation.

Acoustic Engineering & Cross-Talk
A common issue with poor ventilation is noise transfer between rooms. Our engineers design systems with “cross-talk silencers” and acoustic-lined plenum boxes, ensuring that fresh air is delivered at a “whisper-quiet” decibel level without compromising privacy.

BIM Ductwork Coordination
In modern architecture, ceiling voids are often tight. We use BIM (Building Information Modelling) to design precision ductwork routes that avoid structural beams and other MEP services, ensuring a clean installation that doesn’t lower your ceiling heights.

Smart Demand-Controlled Ventilation
Our systems can be integrated with humidity and CO2 sensors. This allows the ventilation to “boost” automatically when moisture levels rise (during cooking or showering) and drop to a background level when the house is empty, further enhancing energy efficiency.

95% Thermal Heat Recovery

MVHR technology is a cornerstone of sustainable design. By pre-warming incoming fresh air using the warmth of the extracted stale air, our systems allow you to maintain a constant fresh air supply without the massive heat loss associated with traditional window vents or extractor fans.

Health-Focused Filtration & IAQ

Our ventilation systems act as a barrier against the outside environment. With medical-grade HEPA and carbon filtration options, we can remove pollen, traffic pollutants (NO2), and fine particulate matter (PM2.5), making our installations ideal for asthma sufferers and urban environments.

Condensation & Mould Eradication

Humidity is the primary cause of structural damp and mould growth. Our mechanical systems provide constant, low-level extraction that removes moisture at the source, ensuring your property remains dry, well-preserved, and healthy year-round.

What Makes Us Stand Out?

We deliver technically superior ventilation systems that balance energy recovery with pure indoor air quality.

ENGINEERING-LED DESIGN

We don't just "fit" fans; we engineer airflow. Every system is bespoke-designed based on the specific volume and occupancy of your property.

WHISPER-QUIET TECHNOLOGY

By using oversized ducting and high-quality silencers, we eliminate the "wind noise" common in standard ventilation setups.

SUSTAINABLE PERFORMANCE

Our focus on high-efficiency MVHR systems helps your project achieve higher SAP ratings and lower long-term carbon emissions.

Testimonials

What Our Clients Say

Our top priority is customer satisfaction, and we work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and goals.

The MVHR system Brit Home installed has completely removed the condensation issues in our new build. The air feels incredibly fresh, even in winter.
Michael Chen
Homeowner, Surrey
Technically expert team. Their ability to coordinate ducting into a very tight ceiling void was impressive.
